Main Objectives
Take full responsibility and set high standards around the quality of the build process, Health and Safety standards and compliance across all stages of development
Work to agreed build programme and financial parameters to ensure a smooth and successful handover of the development
Communicate effectively to the Contracts Manager around the day to day running of the development
Key Responsibilities
Manage the site in accordance with the Company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with staff, subcontractors and visitors
Manage, motivate and support staff and subcontractors to influence productivity and adherence to development budgets
Organise subcontractors in line with contract requirements and build programme targets
Understand and work inline with Contractors Proposals, Employers Requirements and Third Party Agreements
Conduct and document regular site production meetings to address quality, labour regime, plant, materials and programme
Fully conform to building regulations, warranty providers requirements and technical specifications
Ensure high standards of health and safety, house keeping and site presentation throughout the whole build process
Influence and action results of site based audits in a timely manner
Manage all development based documentation and information through the electronic development management system

Qualifications & Training
- Essential

Site management qualification, HNC or equivalent and above

Experience

Previous experience within a Site Manager role

Ability to work with and mentor an Assistant Site Manager

Up to date knowledge of building legislation and health and safety obligations

Previous experience of working with light weight steel frame applications

It is important to form strong working relationships with both internal and external people. The focus in this role is:
Internal: Directly employed site staff, Contracts Manager, Procurement & Commercial staff,
External: Sub-Contractors, suppliers, NHBC (or similar) representatives, customers and members of the public
